Poker game descriptions:

Texas Hold'em

To start off the game of Texas Hold'em, two cards known as hole cards, are dealt face down to each individual. This is then followed by a first betting round. Then, into the center of the table, an additional three cards, known as the Flop, are dealt face up. These "community" cards form part of each individual's hand. Now another betting round occurs. Another betting round follows the dealing of another community card, known as the Turn card, to the center. The final community card, known as the river, is dealt to the center of the table and your final betting round then follows this. The highest five-card hand determines the winner after the hole cards are turned over. All Poker Tournament Championship Events play this game, as it is a fast and furious variation with fascinating people who play the game.

Seven Card Stud

Although one of the easier games to learn, Seven Card Stud is probably the most pressured Poker Game. Seven unique cards are dealt to each player, starting with the two Hole cards face down and one card face up. Each player is then dealt a further three more cards face up. A betting round follows each of these rounds. Your final card is dealt face down and your final betting round then follows this. The Best five-card hand then determines the winner.

Omaha

Since this is an action variation of Hold'em you have far more drawing opportunities per player because there are six two-card combinations (Players receive 4 hole cards) rather than one in each players hand. This creates a fast-paced, exciting poker game. Although it is dealt in the same way as Hold'em each player is initially dealt four cards instead of two. Two of the downcards, out of the hand, must be used along with three cards on the board as this makes the players best five-card hand.

Omaha (8 or Better)

Although dealt in the same manner as Omaha the pot gets split by the "Best" of both the highest and the lowest hands. In this game one player could win both high and low in the same hand, therefore creating a game that can get even more fast and furious. The Aces are the only card that can count for Low in low and either a high or low in High. Your best hand for a low, which also makes a straight, is an A-2-3-4-5. In order to win low one must have an 8 and lower hand.
